Ghana reduces the e-levy rate for electronic transfer from 1.5% to 1% in its 2023 budget
The Ghanaian Finance Minister - Ken Ofori-Atta, announced that the levy for electronic transfer has been reduced from 1.5% to 1% when presenting the 2023 budget statement. The Electronic Transfer Levy Act, 2022 (Act 1075) was controversially passed in March 2022 and imposes a levy of 1.5 per cent on electronic transfers, a downward revision from the proposed 1.75%. According to Statista, the African e-commerce market in 2021 was worth $38B and is projected to grow to $72B by 2025. Nigeria To Unveil Africa’s First Humanoid Robot “Omeife”
What humanoid means. Nigeria is to officially unveil the first humanoid in Africa named Omeife. The 6-foot-tall multilingual human-like robot was built by a Nigerian technology company based in Abuja, Uniccon group. Omeife is the first African humanoid with near-human resemblance, language competency, movement, navigation, and behavioural intelligence using AI and Computer Vision capabilities.
She has the ability to speak 8 different languages asides from the English language. VOA

According to this year's Worldwide Cost of Living Index, released by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the average cost of living is up 8.1% in 2022, owing to the Russian war in Ukraine and the lingering effects of the pandemic.
